    great place to stay. we picked up the keys from the visitor centre and were given instructions on how to drive to the cabins as we arrived during the shuttle bus' hours (you wait for one to come by, and then follow it a couple of kms up the road). the walks accessible from the cabins are amazing - we went around crater lake clockwise which took about 6 hours at a slower pace.

    as for the cabin, if you intend on using the oven there are no baking trays, so bring your own. and, the heater wasn't very efficient as it only just makes the cabin warm enough in winter (beltana 2), but sleeping on the top bunks helps with this, as does a hot water bottle. communal shower/toilet is also very clean and pleasant to use.

    What a wonderful place to stay in the middle of the park! Thank you for being so accommodating. Fridge and heating work very well too!

    Great little cabins close to Cradle Mountain. Basic features include fridge, stove, cooking utensils/cutlery, bunk beds, shared toilets. Kids had a ball!

    Such an interesting side trip, this man carved and built a timber home in the bush. A great story from long ago
